Adam Flynn started running in Special Olympics when he was eight years old. Every May he and his family would head to the stadium at CSUS for a weekend of events. Eventually, Adam competed in the State Games at UC Berkeley and UCLA. In addition to running, Adam participated in the long jump and the baseball throw. In 1995, he was awarded the Inspirational Athlete of the Year Award. Adam graduated from McClatchy High School and the Transitional Program at Sacramento City College. Now he works in the cafeteria at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center. Adam enjoys going with his friends to movies and dances. He loves pizza.
